WMS / Supply Chain Business Analyst

We are currently seeking an ambitious, professional individual to teach customers how to use a proprietary Warehouse Management System (WMS).  The application requires RF scanning and/or Voice devices with integration into ERP (order management, accounting, and other supply chain applications).  Your previous experience with warehousing principles will fast track your opportunity.  The individual will regularly interface with distribution companies.  It will be your responsibility to manage the client relationship effectively by learning their business processes and offering suggestions on the configuration & use of the application.
 
Duties and Responsibilities

  • Train customers to use WMS
  • Analyze configuration with the objective of explaining to a customer why the application behaves a certain way
  • Make appropriate adjustments to the application based on customer preferences
  • Promote professional services to add to revenue stream
  • Liaison between customers and technical team
  • Collect information from customers when they request changes (e.g. report customizations) or report problems with an application
  • Provide timely updates to customers
  • Develop business requirements and high-level specifications for the design and development of software enhancements based on customer’s requests
  • Create test scripts for and involvement in Quality Assurance testing of developed software
  • Ensures all customer action requests are completed within schedule, and delivered satisfactorily to the client’s requirements
  • Works with Implementations to smoothly transition newer customers to Support
  • Communicate the newest features of the most current upgrades to customers. 

 
 
Knowledge and Skills

  • Understanding of WMS systems with warehouse operations experience
  • RF bar code scanning devices and applications
  • The ability to multi-task and maintain organization in a hectic environment
  • Team player with customer service focused attitude
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with customers
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret business requirements, system documentation, and technical procedures
  • Secures relevant information, integrates data from different sources, and identifies possible causes of problems
  • Develops alternative courses of action and makes decisions based on logical assumptions that reflect factual information
  • Recognizes creative solutions and innovations
  • Motivated with a high level of initiative

 
Degrees, Certificates and Experience

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience required
  • SQL experience a plus
